art and creativity can be vital modes for self-exploration and community building. storytelling allows us to understand our collective experiences, which ultimately leads to solidarity and making change. we are all constructed by many facets of identity and experiences that give us unique challenges and forms of oppression to fight, but speaking our truths allows us to connect and listen. unlearning the things we have been taught to feel ashamed of (our bodies, our behaviors, our voices, our selves) is a process that takes a lifetime, and crush intends to give a space for that journey to take place.
